Gitta from Hamburg & Joachim “Yogi” Reppmann, PhD (historian) was born in Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, in 1957. Married in Las Vegas.-

For over twenty years now, Yogi and his wife Gitta have lived for six months of the year in Germany and the other six in the United States. Yogi’s main research interest has always been German-American immigration, in particular those immigrants who came from Schleswig-Holstein to the American Midwest as a result of the German revolution of 1848. In total, he has organized five “Legacy of 1848” conferences. Yogi is an indefatigable worker and organizer. He and Gitta -from Hamburg- married in Las Vegas. WWW.MOIN-MOIN.US
